On Tuesday, October 6th, I’ll be reading alongside Brooke Bolander at the NYRSF reading series curated by Jim Freund and guest curated this month by Amy Goldschlager. I’ve read once at NYRSF, a few years back as part of a reading for Ellen Datlow’s anthology After. And I’ve long enjoyed the series that Jim Freund and Amy Goldschalger have run. Jim and Amy have managed to keep the series going despite having to switch locations many times. I do think the current location is one of the best. The Brooklyn Commons, it’s got a cafe in the front, plenty of comfortable seating, and live TV broadcast capability to boot. I’m quite pleased to read beside Brooke Bolander, whose fiction I’ve been admiring for a while now.

I’ll be reading excerpts from King of Shards, my novel which debuts on October 13th. Copies will be for sale.
